Alas, the first of many! ![]() We could have completed the first legendary some time earlier, but we didn't really optimize our progress and the quest requirements for the first steps, having lost some time, but alas, we are glad to be wielding our first, hoping it will be the first of many, as our casters surely will expect! So, once again a shout out for Pėtr, for being the first to complete it, Petr has been a dedicated and active raider for most of Corruption's history, so it is well deserved, and we hope he enjoys it plenty! See you, our next big news should be about Ragnaros Heroic... let's see how long that takes us! :) |

Baleroc, The Gatekeeper ![]() The fight is fun, but 'unfortunetly' most of its "Brutallus charm" is gone considering the DPS boost gear gave us while making a comparison to the earlier kills, over a month ago, where tanks and healers were sacrificed to bring extra DDers, we had no such problem, and it just turned into a "wake up if u've got countdown" execution, highly disappointing. Our bad for having taking our time to get there (or is it Blizzard? New content on Summer time? really?). Anyway, all obstacles cleared, and we're now facing the major badass Ragnaros, while the Deathwing raid is already getting talked about, so, time to try and get some 'real' progress before it all gets nerfed to smithereens and we lost attempts on the hard boss he is now. Oh, and how about the Tauren-fest above? Hell i feel proud to see so many sexy T6 looking taurens above! Shame for a couple of dislocated fellows :P As for the kill, it was quick in the evening, 10th try of the evening, with a couple of new players, and it just clicked. People still managed to mess up on the last stage, the usual pre-kill excitement, but it just felt flat. Some were cheering and happy about it, but i just felt it was lacking, maybe i was expecting a higher learning curve or what not, oh well. We should have a movie up in the next couple of days, so dont forget to check back and see what's up, and maybe another surprise, who knows. And yes, we still are recruiting exceptional players who feel they can bring quality to our raiding roster. We're coming for you Ragnaros ... |

Hey hey, ![]() Concerning the fight and the kill, it actually is fun and exciting event, but having to bypass or even ignore one of it's core mechanics entirely just bothers me a bit, as i consider it poor encounter design. All of the rest is pretty fun and we managed to execute it to perfection tonight, so, before anything else, congratulations to everyone! Oh, i can't forget to tell all the haters to F*** OFF with all the cries of "get a prot palaaaaaa", "impossible with a warriooooooor tank!" or even "get a new tankkkkkkk" whines every single day. In my mind, and in all true wow raider's mind, a guild's MT will always be a Protection Warrior, and preferably, a big-ass Tauren one! And you all know it! Anyways, onto the kill \ fight. Its a pretty straightforward execution of a linear tactic, without many random events to interfere, and after some punishing 2% wipes on the first night (2-3 wipes that made me... well, shout a little!), due to the fact that people just can't keep their concentration up (well, the concentration buff aswell as their "RL" concentration!) and some damage was lacking. Tonight, we had an even worse lineup of damage dealers, with a lot of absentees, but the lineup played to perfection, with very few losses of the buff and an overall improvement of the execution, that aligned with some strategy tweaks, bought us a few seconds before the enrage, that usually destroys us in a few seconds.... ... BUT NOT TONIGHT! We took the enrage like it was nothing, and in the end, it was harmless! I kid you not! The movie will be available in a very short time, and you will notice how clean the fight was, even enduring about 10-15 secs of an enraged kitten, i actually felt good after surviving what usually is a punishing ordeal! Eat that prot palas! Eat IT! The logs are there to prove it! Oh, about logs, if you're working toward the boss, feel free to check our logs for details or even contact us ingame for further info, we aren't 'fantabulastic', but we are glad to be of assistance, nothing to hide, enjoy :) Anyway, i ramble. Our setup was shaky, signups for the raid were low with a staggering 22 confirmals, we have had some new players raid for what was close to the first time, Xizillion had to try out his never used Elemental spec to slightly beat the tank's damage, and Neithyo absolutely destroyed Staghelm. All in all, we got a very satisfying kill, but it came a day too late to have been perfect. So, it was just "good"! Baleroc remains on our path to Ragnaros Heroic, and it should be a complete pain in the ass, but we are eager for it, and more so, we are glad to have been progressing through the Summer, when usually we would just farm the farmable content and wait for better, colder days... Take care everyone, see you soon! (i hope!). ps1 - A movie featuring the most POVs we ever had should be available soon, this one should be a good one! ps2 - Screw Blizzard and the non-controlled pets, i hate Ebon Imps, sorry Vizuq for the harsh words! ps3 - We are STILL recruiting! A tank, some healers and various damage dealers to improve our raiding core, headed for Ragnaros! Do YOU have what is takes? |
